Daycare Routine Schedule at Uday Childcare Centre, Vancouver
Welcome to Uday Childcare’s Daycare Routine Schedule — thoughtfully designed to support each child’s growth, curiosity, and well-being in a warm, flexible, and engaging environment. Our schedule balances structured and free time to meet children’s developmental needs, interest, and daily rhythms.
| Time | Activity |
| 7:30 am | Doors Open – Children arrive; free play and open snack time. Caregivers welcome child-led play to help ease morning transitions. |
| 9:00 am | Arrival for Part-Time Children – Full-day children continue with free play or snack. We integrate part-time arrivals smoothly into the routine. |
| 10:15 am | Outdoor & Gross Motor Activities – Weather permitting, we head outside for gross motor play. When weather is not ideal, indoor motor activities offer creative movement. |

| 12:00 pm | Lunch Time – A calm, nourished lunch setting, giving children a chance to refuel with healthy food and conversation. |
| 12:45 pm | Books / Story – After lunch, children gather for stories, literacy exercises, or calming book time to settle before rest. |
| 1:00 – 2:30 pm | Nap / Quiet Time – Essential rest period for younger children; quiet, restful activities for older or non-napping kids. |
| 2:00 pm | Part-Time Children Pick Up – Part-time schedules conclude; rest of the group continues with the afternoon routine. |
| 2:45 pm | Afternoon Snack – Healthy snacks to revive energy levels in preparation for late afternoon play. |
| 3:30 pm | Outside / Free Play – More outdoor play (weather permitting) or indoor free play to explore interests, socialize, and develop physical coordination. |
| 5:30 pm | Doors Close – End of day: farewells, parent communication, and tidying up. |
| 7:00 am to 8: 45 am 3:00 pm to 8 :00 pm | Before and After school |
Flexibility & Adaptation in Our Daycare Routine Schedule
- When weather allows, outdoor or gross motor activities may be extended. On days with extreme heat, cold, or poor weather, indoor alternatives are provided.
- If a special event, project, or child-led interest arises, we may adjust schedule blocks (e.g. circle time, story time) to accommodate those moments.
- Snack times, meal times, rest, and nap periods adapt to the child’s age, temperament, and energy levels.
Why Our Daycare Routine Schedule Matters
- Predictability & Security: Regular routines help children feel safe; knowing what comes next builds trust and confidence.
- Balanced Development: Our schedule includes free play and structured group time, helping with social, emotional, cognitive, language, and physical growth.
- Healthy Rhythms: Adequate rest, active play, and nutritious snacks are vital for energy, growth, and focus.
- Responsive Care: Being flexible ensures we respond to each child’s individual needs, moods, and developmental stage.
